Feather pillow with heavy cotton cover, colored green [reverse] & beige [front] with embroidered stitching & front corners, measuring 19 x 17” in length & width, and 5.5” in depth. Front decoration features spectacular painted eagle & US flag over crossed cannons, punctuated w/the following inscription: “GETTYSBURG [red lettering / 1863 / 1913 / 50TH ANNIVERSARY [blue lettering].”
Cloth on both sides lightly soiled & slightly worn, with two unobtrusive (and miniscule) breaks. Also two unobtrusively light, vertical, 3” stains Feathers intact, with the pillow retaining its natural body. Else VG plus (since 1913 someone has done a good job of keeping it out of harm’s way). A stunning, stunning piece. A fantastic item for the Gettysburg collector.
