This belt was constructed like a wartime belt. There is a central piece of leather with a thin layer of leather folded over the top and sewn in back. This thin outer surface is very worn and crackled with some scattered tears but the central leather is in better condition. The belt has been folded for a long time and has stiffened into this shape. The belt is complete. The face of the belt plate is the Coat of Arms of the Sons of Union Veterans. The keeper and the plate are a perfect match.
