The top of this badge has a thin stamped brass bar with a scrollwork decoration at top and a rectangle that reads “SOUVENIR.” The reverse of this piece still has the original pin.
Suspended from this is a red, white and blue ribbon with gold lettering that reads “’ALL OUR HOPES WERE BLASTED BY THAT UNHAPPY AFFAIR AT TRENTON’ LORD GERMAIN, BRITISH SEC. OF STATE.”
Suspended from the ribbon is a circular white metal drop. The obverse has the Trenton monument at center surrounded by “TRENTON BATTLE MONUMENT-CORNER STONE LAID DEC. 25, 1892 DEDICATED OCT. 19, 1893.”
The reverse has a bust of George Washington at center surrounded by “TO COMMEMORATE THE BATTLE OF TRENTON DECEMBER 26, 1776.”
Badge is in excellent clean condition. Gold lettering on ribbon is perfect. [AD]
