Item consists of a brass top bar decorated with a GAR star at center with the number “7” at middle of the star. Star is flanked by “CIN.O.” and “O.N.G.” Reverse of bar has the original pin.

Suspended from the bar is a short blue ribbon that holds a six-pointed star shaped drop of white metal. At center of the star is “137 O.V.I.”

The 137th Ohio was a 100 day regiment and was organized from the 7th Ohio National Guard. The regiment served from May to August 1864 doing guard duty in Baltimore, Maryland.

Item is in good overall condition. Ribbon shows light wear.    [AD]
