This carved stone book meas. approx. 2.25 x 3.00.

Soft stone carved into book form with spine and covers. The front cover has a patriotic US shield in a wreath decal surrounded by a handwritten inscription that reads “SOUVENIR SOLDIERS HOME / HOT SPRINGS SOUTH DAKOTA.” Spine has “1917” while the back cover has some flower decals.

Nice old patriotic soldier art done by an old Civil War or Indian War veteran at the start of World War One.  [ad]
