Red, white and blue ribbon measures approx. 5.50 x 2.00 inches with an applied US flag at center. Top edge has a printed gold design and the word “GUEST” while below the flag is “24TH ANNUAL REUNION, 15TH N.J.V.V.A., DOVER, N.J. SEPTEMBER 17, 1903.” Bottom edge is slightly worn. Reverse has nice maker’s label and pin.
The 15th New Jersey served its three years with the 1st Brigade, 1st Division, 6th Corps from October of 1862 to July of 1865. During their service the regiment lost 372 officers & men killed, died of wounds and disease out of 1721 enrolled.
