This an extra wide white ribbon with gold and black lettering and red Corps badge. It is complete with the pin on reverse and is in excellent condition.

The ribbon meas. approx. 3.00 x 6.50 inches with gold bullion fringe along the bottom edge. The top of the badge has a strip of woven gold braid beneath which is “KEARNY’S 1ST NEW JERSEY BRIGADE.” Below this lettering is a red 1st Division, 6th Corps badge. Below the badge in black lettering is “10TH ANNUAL RE-UNION AT EDGEWATER PARK, SEPTEMBER 14TH, 1891.” This is followed by large gold lettering at bottom that reads “ANNIVERSARY OF THE BATTLE OF CRAMPTON PASS.”

Crampton’s Gap is the more familiar name for the battle of Crampton Pass. It was fought on September 14, 1862 and was part of the larger battle of South Mountain, which was part of the Antietam Campaign.
