GAR RIBBON FOR 100TH PENNSYLVANIA

$35.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 503-79

Greenish-blue ribbon with blue printing and black stamping. The ribbon is very long and narrow and plain. The ribbon itself meas. approx. 1.75 x 9.00 inches.

There is no pin and the top edge is folded and sewn. There is a small tear in the edge in this area. The top of the ribbon has printed crossed rifles with the letters “GAR.” Under the rifles is a stamped black letter “M.” Beneath this are two parallel solid lines with the number “100” stamped under them with two more parallel lines beneath that. Printed down the length of the ribbon is “PENNSYLVANIA.” There are some small amounts of fraying and a few stress separations at the bottom and a very small hole in one of the zeros in “100” but nothing major.

Oddly enough the 100th Pennsylvania did have a Company M. Twelve Companies were recruited for the regiment with one being transferred to the 105th Pennsylvania.
