This gold ribbon meas. approx. 1.75 inches wide x 5.50 inches long. Across the top is a top bar in the shape of a cannon made out of stamped brass. The face of the cannon is stamped with the words “CITIZENS EXECUTIVE BOARD.” The original pin remains on the reverse.
The body on the ribbon has silver embossed lettering that reads “28TH NATIONAL ENCAMPMENT G.A.R.” Then diagonally across the ribbon between two decorative lines is “ACCOMMODATIONS.” Below this is “PITTSBURGH, SEPT. 10-15TH 1894.” The bottom of the ribbon has a stamped silver decoration with raised gold stars.
