Top hanger is a brass framed, celluloid seal with “GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC” and a full-color image of a GAR badge on the face. Reverse of hangar has original pin with hook, and bar for suspending the two attached ribbons. The foremost ribbon is white. Upon it are mounted two crossed American flags (which have separated from their brass backings) and suspended from the bottom is a round celluloid “button” featuring a full-color Union Army camp scene. A second, black ribbon suspended in rear of the first. It has silver lettering that reads, “COL. CROSSDALE / POST NO. 256 / RIEGELSVILLE, PA.” Gold fringe, 1 ½” long, is sewn to the bottom of the black ribbon. Ribbon measures approx. 7” long x 2” wide. There is minor fraying to the ends of the two small flags, otherwise this is in very good condition.  [jet]
