Three piece badge, 3” in length. Features upper brass eagle with bar pin, blue ribbon, & silver plated medallion, 1.25” in diameter. Medallion obverse inscription: “16TH Annual Encampment/ G.A.R./ Baltimore/ 1882.” Reverse: “Grand Army of the Republic”, encircling seal.

In condition, blue ribbon is faded & somewhat worn, with some soiling. Lower medallion, which has separated from the ribbon, is lightly scratched and worn. Solid GAR collectible. Encampment badges from the early 1880s are fairly scarce.  [JP]
