Top hangar features the G.A.R. symbol and crossed flags. Lettering reads, “G.A.R. 47TH ENCAMPMENT / DEPT. OF NEW YORK / SYRACUSE JUNE 12-13, 1913” Original pin is on reverse. Attached to this is a blue silk ribbon with gold lettering that reads, “DELEGATE”. Suspended from this is a round medal with image of a man and reads, “DEPT. COMMANDER OSCAR SMITH”. Entire length measures 4 1/8”.  [sm]
