Top bar is a brass spreadwinged eagle perched on crossed cannon barrels over a stack of cannonballs. Reverse has pin and bar for suspending the ribbon.

Suspended from the top piece is a US flag ribbon edged in light blue. Ribbon is in good condition with only light surface dirt.

At bottom is a star shaped drop with the GAR Coat of Arms at center surrounded by the different insignias of the branches of service. Reverse of the star has all the Corps badges of the Union army.  [ad]
