Top bar has a scalloped brass frame with a celluloid strip at center with full color crossed US flags.
Ribbon is two pieces. The first is a short red, white and blue ribbon with silver print that reads “JOINT COMMITTEE.” At bottom of this ribbon is a circular piece of paper set inside a white metal rim. The paper bears a full color image of a GAR membership medal. Ribbon meas. approx. 2.75 inches.
Behind it hangs a longer black ribbon. This meas. approx. 5.25 inches long with gold tassels along the bottom. In silver at bottom is “MEMORIAL DAY 1893 NEWARK, N. J.”
Original pin still remains at top.
Condition is excellent with just one or two creases. Original maker’s label still on reverse. [ad]
