This unissued medal is given to descendants of Confederate Veterans who have served in the military during war time, from WWI up to and including Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

In excellent condition, the medal consists of a red ribbon at top with pin on reverse; below is a drop with an oval surrounded by laurel wreath overlaid on crossed swords, and “SCV” at center. Below is a five armed piece with a CS flag at center and in Latin, “SICUT PATRIBUS / SEMPER FIDELIS” (As with our Father so may God be with us. / Always faithful).

On the reverse of the lower drop is engraved, “PRESENTED TO / _________ / BY THE / SONS OF CONFEDERATE VETERANS / FOR MILITARY SERVICE IN / __________”.
