Item Code: 801-492

This is a two-sided ribbon from the 1907 United Confederate Veterans reunion from 1907 in Charlestown, WV. The top hanger is a brass frame with a celluloid insert with the words, “JEFFERSON COUNTY CAMP”. The original pin on the reverse of hanger is intact. One side of the ribbon is a black mourning ribbon with the words imprinted in silver, “NO. 123 C.V., IN MEMORIAM 1861 1865, CHARLESTOWN W. VA.”. The reverse side is an ivory colored ribbon with the words imprinted in gold, “NO. 123 C. V. 1861 1865, CHARLESTOWN, W. VA TO RICHMOND, VA 1907”. There is a Confederate battle flag in the center of the ivory ribbon.

The overall condition is very good. The black ribbon had some vertical splits in the fabric, while the ivory ribbon has yellowed from age and has three tiny holes, as well as two nicks on the left edge of the fabric.

Across the bottom of the ribbon is a line of gold bullion tassels.

The total measurement of the ribbon, including tassels, is approx. 8 inches long x 2 ½ inches wide.
