Original German elite unit sleeve insignia worn by members of the Luftwaffe Parachute Panzer Division “Hermann Göring” in North Africa, Sicily, and Italy, 1943 – 1945. The most famous German Air Force field unit of World War II, the division was conspicuous for its performance in Tunisia, the attack on the Gela beachhead in Sicily, and during the defense of Rome. This cufftitle has been removed from a uniform. Though shortened by the GI who took it as a souvenir, the cufftitle is in very good condition.
