WORLD WAR TWO GERMAN PASSPORT

Item Code: 727-408

There are four versions of standard Reisepässe or passports dating back to the Third Reich. The earliest one had a Weimar eagle on the front with Nazi eagle and swastika stamps inside. By May of 1936, the standard Reisepass had the Weimar eagle replaced with the eagle and swastika between the words Deutsches Reich and Reisepass. The next version had the eagle and swastika at the top of the cover page with a passport serial number punched through the bottom of the front cover and the pages throughout the interior. The pass offered here is of this 3rd version.

This passport is for 33 year old Elise Kurz of Hamburg. The pass was issued on September 30, 1942. A photo of Elise appears on the second page. The book has 6 full pages of different stampings from Mrs. Kurz’ travels. The latest date is in 1944.

There is some old tape on the top and bottom corners helping to anchor the covers otherwise the book is in good used condition.
