Nice smoked glass plate with a raised edge. Cut into the glass edge is lettering that has been filled in with white paint or enamel. The lettering reads “BERLIN OLYMPIADE 1936.” Etched into the center of the plate is an oak leaf with a swastika at center. The leaf is flanked by two pennants. Worked into the background of the design are the five Olympic rings. There are no visible maker’s marks and the plate is in overall good condition showing only light wear from age and storage.
