Booklet meas. approx. 4.50 x 5.75 inches with a green cardboard cover with gray eagle and swastika as opposed to the brown covered book for German citizens. Cover reads “DEUTSCHES REICH ARBEITSBUCH FUR AUSLANDER.” The book runs 38 pages and belonged to Marie Fanda who was born in 1924 and was from Kiev, Ukraine.
The several pages filled out in this booklet show that it was issued to Fanda at Neu-Ulm on December 18, 1943 and that she worked in Dr. Willi Knoll’s Canning Factory from 1942 through 1943 and then at Zimmermann’s Canned Meat Factory in 1944 and ended the war at the Wieland Metal Works in 1945. The book also contains personal information such as full birth date, hometown, marital status, training and so on.
A photograph of Marie Fanda is mounted inside the book with several eagle and swastika stamps.
