Brand new still in the box is this small metal artillery light. The light is rectangular and meas. approx. 5.00 x 2.25 x 1.08 inches. The body is painted OD green with a clear lens on the top. A button to activate the light is on one side. The paint on the item is excellent and has no signs of handling.
The box the item comes in is the original World War One era packaging. The box is green with black printing that is still very readable. There is some wear on the top flap and edges otherwise the box is in nice condition. Printed on the face is “EVEREADY MOBILE ARTILLERY LIGHT, ORDNANCE DEPT., U.S. ARMY, SPECIFICATIONS 14-4-17, SPECIAL 1991.” Next is the company trade mark and below that is “AMERICAN EVER READY WORKS, OF NATIONAL CARBON CO., INC., LONG ISLAND CITY, NEW YORK.” The side panels of the box explain how to change the battery.
