This is a canvas double bag haversack. Interior has one bag that ties closed while the other bag is an open pocket. Haversack closes by folding on itself and latching with a cloth strap and buckle.
Reverse of the haversack has two clips, one on each upper corner.
The front of the haversack is lightly stenciled with “69 NY L 34” and below this are crossed rifles with a “69” above and an “L” below. Beneath the crossed rifle mark is “N.Y. 34.”
The condition of the haversack is very good but it is dirty with some light staining inside and out. Also, one of the two clips on the back is rusted some. All ties, buckles and hooks are present.
