This grenade has a wooden handle that is stamped near the top “1939.” The wood has a dirty surface but is solid throughout. The base of the handle has the screw cap but the ignition string and porcelain ball is missing. The cap is worn and some of the finish is peeling. The grenade head will unscrew from the handle. The iron ring at the top of the handle and base of the head shows wear and some light rust. The grenade head itself is painted green with some light rust and flaking to the paint around the base. The top has a small crease in it and there is a Waffen Amp in white at top center.
