Nice condition field-gray World War Two German Luftwaffe helmet with a single decal on the left side.

This unrolled edge helmet body retains 95% of the original paint with only some minor scratches and discoloration from use and storage. The finish is a little rough to the touch. The three liner rivets are present and each side has a vent-hole cast as part of the helmet. The left side has the spread-winged eagle and swastika decal. This decal is 100% intact with only light scratches.

The interior of the helmet has a dark brown leather liner with eight tongues at the top gathered with a drawstring. The liner is worn along the bottom edge and one of the tongues has a tear but all eight show wear. There is no chinstrap but the anchors are there.  The helmet is marked on the inside left edge with the maker and size “NS64.” This stamp shows that the helmet was made by the Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke, Schwerte and is a size 64 centimeters. The inside back edge is stamped with the lot number “4647.”  There is no marking in the crown.

This is a nice example of the standard World War Two German helmet.
