Glass covered face meas. approx. 3.00 inches across. All face markings are excellent. Large white indicator needle is present. Gauge measures aircraft climb in thousands of feet per minute.
Nomenclature plate on the back reads “RATE OF CLIMB INDICATOR / 2000 F.P.M. MFR’S PART NO. AC-135-3 / SERIAL NO. 10185 WEIGHT 1.0 LB. / TSO C8B TYPE I / KARNISH INSTRUMENTS, INC. / LOCK HAVEN, PENNSYLVANIA.
The back of the housing has a white ink stamp of “AUG 16 1968.” The item is World War Two, this inked date is an inspection date.
