The blade of this bayonet is in excellent condition. It still retains 98% of its original blue with a good point and an excellent edge. One side of the blade is stamped at base with “S / 155K” while the opposite side is marked “1132.” The handle is wood with an iron guard and pommel. The latter is cut with a channel for attaching to a rifle. The entire hilt shows age wear but is in otherwise good condition.
Iron scabbard is semi-bright with some light pitting, scratches and spots of oxidation. Just below the throat is the number “1132” which matches the number on the bayonet.
Black leather frog is unmarked and is in very clean solid condition. [ad]
