$150.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: E2629

Excellent condition bayonet made by Coppel with much original finish on the blade. Bluing is 98% with only some missing from rubbing when the bayonet is taken in and out of the scabbard. Bayonet ricasso is marked on one side with “671” over a small “m” while the opposite side has “f n j.” Blade spine is stamped “40.” Hilt has very nice Bakelite grips with a clean iron pommel. Top edge of the pommel has two identical numbered “waffenamt” markings.

Black scabbard made by the Carl Eickhorn Company shows scratches to the surface finish consistent with age, use and storage. Just below the lip of the scabbard on the front are the numbers “4281” over “f” while the opposite side has “41 cof.” Attached to the scabbard is an unmarked leather frog in good condition with a split latch tab.   [ad]
