This relic was recovered from the crash site of a German Bf/ME 109 aircraft. The location of the wreck is not known.
This relic is a rusted shackle used to attach the drop tank to the underside of the aircraft. The item is complete and solid despite a rusted surface.
With the items is a photograph of two drop tanks, one clean and one rusted with this piece circled on the photo.
Very interesting relic from one of the mainline World War Two German fighter aircraft. [ad]
