DATED SPRINGFIELD MADE M1 BAYONET IN PLASTIC SCABBARD

This bayonet is marked at the ricasso on one side with “AFH” over “US” with a bursting bomb between the letters. The other ricasso is blank. Blade is clean and bright with light mottling.

Grip is black Bakelite type material that is in good condition with no cracks. Metal surfaces look to have been plated.

Green plastic scabbard has white metal throat with ordnance bombe insignia with “US” at center. Top of throat is stamped with number “1566.” Scabbard is marked below throat on the reverse with “MD-53” in black ink or marker. Tip of scabbard does show some wear.  [ad]
