STRUCK WORLD WAR ONE MODEL 1916 GERMAN HELMET

$350.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 980-13

Steel model 1916 German helmet minus the liner. The body has a dark green surface that has been lightly cleaned. It exhibits four very large and several small holes no doubt caused by shell fragments and bullets.

Size and maker stamp inside is “SI 66.” Nothing at all remains of the liner.

A wire has been attached through the air vents for hanging the helmet on a wall but can easily be removed if desired.

A collectors tag attached to the liner reads “GERMAN WW1 MOD. 1916 SHELL TORN STEEL TRENCH HELMET.”

Helmet lacks the chinstrap but the mounts are present.

This helmet is from the collection of the late Robert Jones who was a World War Two Navy veteran who became interested in World War One as a child and collected as an adult.

Nice relic of the Great War.  [ad]
