Item Code: 873-27

The Sturmgewehr 44 was the first successful assault rifle, with features including a relatively short cartridge, controllable automatic fire, a more compact design than a battle rifle with a quicker rate of fire, and intended for hitting targets within a few hundred yards.

This lot of relic parts comes from somewhere in Europe and consists of the forward receiver with magazine well, the barrel which has been cut in half, the front sight assembly and gas block. Barrel is slightly bent.

All parts are pitted with some surface rust. The barrel can be fitted in place for a static display as can the front sight assembly.

Nice display item for a World War Two collector. [ad]
