Very nice condition brown leather fuse pouch. The leather of the outer flap is in good condition with a tooled line around the edge.  The latch tab was stitched to the underside of the flap.  This tab is complete and unbroken but the stitching has broken leaving the tab attached to the brass finial.  The interior flap is in excellent condition and is likewise tooled along the outer edge. It is complete with both ears firmly sewn in place. The body of the box and the two belt loops on the back are also in fine shape and show little use. Stitching is complete and unbroken. The bottom of the box has an unusually fat and squat-shaped brass finial.

An excellent example of a Confederate-made artilleryman’s fuse pouch.  [jet]
