1864 DATED FULL PACK FRANKFORD ARSENAL FRICTION PRIMERS

$225.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 490-2522

A complete pack of friction primers. Coated paper wrap with draw tab intact and legible lettering. One side of the wrapper bears a drawing of a primers across the top over the words, “FRICTION PRIMERS / FRANKFORD ARSENAL / 1864” below. The blue color of the wrapper is typical of all these. The black text is legible. There is a little paper loss on some corners and one tiny hole on the back. None of these are significant. The pack displays very well and is key part of any artillery display. “Number Four” on the gun crew would insert one of these in the cannon’s vent and step back with the lanyard connected, ready for the gunner’s command, “Fire!” Please see our other offerings for more key pieces for an artillery collection.  [sr] [ph:L]
