Confederate 12-pounder spherical case shot for smoothbore cannons. This shell is complete with an iron side loader plug. The two small holes to accept a spanner wrench are filled in making somewhat difficult to spot. Milled for the typical Confederate brass fuse adapter which is gone. Iron surface is clean and lightly pitted. Small drill hole at bottom. Unknown recovery location. [jet] [ph:m]
