Nice hardbound volume meas. approx. 5.50 x 9.00 inches and runs 774 pages.

Covers have leather spine and corners. Front and back boards are marbled with a striped appearance in alternate shades of brown. All edges show light wear.

Interior is tightly bound. Pages have browned with age. One of the articles is a 15 page piece called “THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG AND THE CAMPAIGN IN PENNSYLVANIA: EXTRACT FROM THE DIARY OF AN ENGLISH OFFICER PRESENT WITH THE CONFEDERATE ARMY.” This account was written by the British observer Sir Arthur Fremantle. The diary entries cover from June 20 –July 15, 1863.

The rest of the volume is filled with interesting articles of the period on eclectic topics. [ad]
