Oversized volume housed in a slipcase. The book meas. 17.25 x 13.25 inches. It contains 32 full color prints with accompanying text.
The cardboard slipcase is aquamarine in color with the title in gold at the center of a gray rectangle. This mirrors the front cover of the book itself. The slip case shows a good bit of surface dirt and moderate to severe edge wear including some material separations on one edge. Though the slipcase is worn, it did its job of protecting the book as the volume is in very nice condition.
The boards of the book are covered in an aquamarine cloth with a gray spine. Title is stamped in gold at the center of a gray rectangle on front cover. Exterior is very clean with only minor surface dirt from age and storage.
Title page reads “SIGNIFICANT WAR SCENES BY BATTLEFRONT ARTISTS 1941-1945: A COLLECTION OF REFLECTIVE PAINTINGS IN WHICH SIXTEEN ARTISTS INTERPRET WAR AS THEY SAW IT AROUND THE WORLD. SPONSORED BY THE CHRYSLER CORPORATION.”
The prints in this volume include:
