This eighteen-page pamphlet details the annual report given by the New England Women’s Auxiliary Association, a branch of the U.S Sanitary Commission.  The annual meeting was January 7, 1863 in Boston, Massachusetts.  Topics within the document include an overview of organization’s goals and objectives and itemized lists of provisions provided by the auxiliary to local soldier relief societies.

The pamphlet measures 8 ½” by 5 ½” and is bound with string that remains intact.  There is a distinct fold line down the middle of all pages.  A raised seal on the front cover reads “WESTERN RESERVE/ 1867/CLEVELAND, O/1892/ HISTORICAL SOCIETY.” The back cover has signs of foxing.  [mk] [ph:L]
