Title is by Esther Mohr Dole Ph. D. Professor of History, Washington College, Chestertown, Maryland with illustrations by George B. Keester, Jr. and printed in 1941.

Volume is hardcover and bound in blue cloth with the title in worn gold on the spine. Covers have light edge dirt and worn corners. Back cover has rub marks. The book meas. approx. 5.50 x 8.25 inches and runs 294 pages with index. There are also several foldout maps. Binding is very good.

Interior is in very good for its age. Pages show minor edge yellowing.

Titles on Maryland history are hard to find. This is a good readable copy.  [AD] [PH:L]
