Contains running account of Pvt. Ingram’s clothing issuances from the time of his enlistment, 9/12/1861, through 11/19/ 1864. Including stoppages, 10/31/1862, 2/28/1863, 6/30/1863.
George Ingram mustered out 1/29/1866. His Heavy artillery unit served garrison duty at Washington into the summer of 1864, and then saw heavy action at Cold Harbor and the Siege of Petersburg (Battle of the Crater), followed by duty on the Bermuda Hundred front. During service it lost (in a very short period) 226 men killed and 390 by disease for a total of 616. Solid 2nd PA Heavy Artillery collectible. In protective sleeve, w/white card backing. [jp] [ph:L]
