Early, original painting features three crossed Confederate flags - the Third National Flag, the Battle Flag and the First National Flag. Below flags is an overlapped "CSA" in fancy script.
Colors are brilliant and much detail was implemented in this work of art. This painting is similar to the well-known "Flags of the Confederacy" print that was also sold as postcards. Artist is unknown. Scattered light spotting is present in areas, and a possible tear at the lower left.
Painting measures 8" by 11". It is surrounded by a gray beveled mat. Inner mat is red which is a nice accent with the colors of the flags. Gold modern frame measures 13.5" by 16.5". Frame shows a few scattered nicks. Reverse has wire mounted for hanging.
