Two colored lithographs by Georg Balthazar Probst, a noted late-18th century publisher/illustrator from Augsburg, Germany. These prints, numbered “116” & 117”, are from an unknown 18th century folio volume [“Med. Fol. No. 3”]. Each measures 12.75 x 16.75”, with each depicting a differing camp scene featuring tents & soldiers against a low mountainous background. Both illustrations contain similar captions in four languages [Latin, French, Italian, & German], with no. “116” representing the right view, and no. “117” the left view. Both exhibit light fold marks, and light soiling. Else VG.
Excellent 18th Century military lithographs, with superb color.
