Sixteen-page issue that starts with an article on the State of Arkansas with a rendering of the State Seal on the bottom of front page. Interior has stories about the war in the Crimea with drawings related to the Crimean War. They include one of French Captain Minie who invented the mini ball, the British Naval Brigade dragging a large siege gun and two drawings of moving the wounded to Balaclava. Next, the discovery of North America is covered followed by an excellent view of Oswego, New York on the last page. There are also numerous other stories and incidents to be found inside.

Issue is complete and in good condition for its age with minor scattered foxing and light surface dirt. Center two pages are coming loose.   [ad] [ph:L]
