Vol. VI-No. 301. 16 pages with 4 columns, numerous stories, illustrations and cartoons. Front cover features a lithograph image of McClellan on horseback as he enters Frederick, Maryland, surrounded by a cheering crowd. Articles inside include- slavery being abolished, the Confederates entering Maryland in September, the battles of South Mountain and Antietam, and the battle of Iuka, Mississippi.

Center contains lithographs of Harper’s Ferry, Generals Hooker, Franklin, Mansfield, the late Reno, capitol grounds and railroad depot of Harrisburg, PA, and battle scenes of Antietam and Iuka, Mississippi.

Edges have small tears and chips, center has small tears, but overall is good and totally readable. Very collectible war edition with excellent illustrations. [jp][ph:L]
