Sixteen-page issue that starts with an article about the statue of Andrew Jackson made of captured British cannon erected on the lawn of the White House. This article is interesting in light of the 2020 attempt by vandals to tear the statue down. The front page is dominated by a drawing of the statue. Next, are articles with drawings about the Holyoke Dam, the Crystal Palace erected for the World’s Fair in London and a view of Sacramento, California in regards to the gold rush. The next drawings are of several different topics to include the new City Hall building in Brooklyn, New York, a cricket match in Harlem, a bio and bust portrait of General Worth and the annual militia muster at Camp Tyler Massachusetts showing infantry and cavalry. There is also a wonderful drawing of Faneuil Hall in Boston. There are also numerous other stories to be found inside.
Issue is complete and in good condition for its age with minor scattered foxing and light surface dirt. [ad] [ph:L]
