Framed in handsome brown wood, 21 x 14, w/hang-wire. Features etching of Ft. Sumter Flag Raising, 8” x 6”, CDV of “Brig. Gen Robt Anderson,” and an Anderson note, in ink, 4” x 1.75, text of which reads:
“Hoping you will excuse me for troubling you with this matter. I am sincerely & truly your friend/ Robert Anderson.”
All the above doubled matted in brown and blue.
Overall condition: Fine. A superb commemorative memento of Major Anderson and the Union recapture of Fort Sumter. [jp] [ph:L]
