Framed in gilt pressed wood, 15.25” x 12.25", w/ paper backing and hang-wire. Double matted in dark gray and red, the black and white Oval engraving, from a photo by “H.B. Hall, NY”, measures 5” x 6. Stuart’s two line cut signature measures 2.25” x .75.
Frame exhibits slight chip in lower right corner. Cut signature in ink clear and bold (like Genl Stuart himself). Matting beautifully done w/gilt floral vignettes above and below signature.
Highly attractive. Stunning piece for any Confederate cavalry aficionado. Will hang handsomely in library or den. [jp] [ph:L]
