This British-made accoutrement is an original saber-sword bayonet made for the Enfield .577 caliber musket longarm. The bayonet, with its Yataghan-style blade measures over 28” long and has a single 15” fuller on each flat. Blade is marked “P.D.L” within an oval on one side. This maker is P.D. Luneschloss in Solingen.
Blade bears a good smooth surface with scattered darker mottling overall. No nicks on the blade. Grips are checkered black leather also in good condition.
