The drawn bayonet meas. approx. 20.25 inches in length. The blued blade meas. approx. 15.75 inches with a central unstopped fuller that is 14.25 inches in length. One side of the ricasso is marked with a lower case “d” in a circle next to an upper case “G” also in a circle. The opposite ricasso is blank.
Blued guard has a hooded muzzle ring with a semi-j shaped quillon stamped with a script “BC” and “49164.” Wood grips are in nice condition and anchored by two round rivets. Pommel is bird head shaped but solid with a hole in the top for attaching to the rifle. Button type latch works properly.
Blued scabbard is free of dents. It has a ball finial and a rectangular shaped stud for attaching to the frog.
