Leather scabbard is in good condition. The black leather body shows only light wear and with light crazing overall. Slightly flexible but no breaks. Stitching is complete with no splits. Brass tip is missing the two tacks. Tip has several small dents. Scabbard frog is heavily tarred and has two brass “eagle” buttons. Stitching has split on upper sewn edge of the frog. A canvas shoulder sling would have been attached to these buttons.
A nice militia scabbard. [jet] [ph:m]
