EXCELLENT REMINGTON DOUBLE DERINGER

$675.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 490-2607

This is a pretty example of the Type II or Model 3 of the Remington Model 95 Double Deringer in Flayderman’s terminology, bearing a single line barrel address: “REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y.” The barrels and frame are nickled and the grips are black checkered hard rubber. The plating shows small gray spotting but no ugly  flakes or plating loss. The grips are very good. The hammer and lever show blue.

This was the most popular model of this very popular .41 caliber over-and-under deringer, about 80,000 being produced from about 1888 to 1911, qualifying it for the closing days of the wild west. but still a time of poker tables in saloons. As usual with small double-barrel pistols, the over-under arrangement of the barrels made it much less obvious in a coat, pants or vest pocket. [SR] [PH:M]
